Batam - Rahmad Hidayat, a child predator who was caught in Batam, Riau Islands, has been carrying out his action since 2018.

Hundreds of child pornography content in the form of photos and videos were found by police on storage media, including laptops, flash drives, cell phones, and memory cards that belonged to him.

Director of General Criminal Investigation at Polda Kepri, Kombes Arie Dharmanto said there were 450 files of pornographic content found.

"The suspect downloaded and saved videos and photos of child pornography about 450 content," said Arie Dharmanto, Friday (20/11/2020).

When asked about the pornographic content being traded by Rahmad, Arie Dharmanto said it was also still under investigation.

Before being arrested, Rahmad was known to have molested two children who were brother and sister in the Batam.

Not only molested, he took photos and videos of his actions and uploaded them to Google Drive.

Rahmad was arrested by a joint team from the Kepri Ditreskrimum Polda and Subdit I Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri on Thursday (19/11/2020). The arrest was based on a report submitted to the National Police Headquarters on 5 November.

Rahmad was brought to the National Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings along with some evidences including 3 cell phones, 1 laptop, 4 flash drives, 1 memory card, and several telephone numbers.
