Tanjungpinang, Batamnews - The Minister of National Development Planning or the National Development Agency of PPN/Bapenas, Suharso Manoarfa, ensured that the construction of the Batam-Bintan (Babin) Bridge will start before 2024.

"On our arrival here, we first saw the preparation of the Riau Islands Province for the construction of the Batam Bintan Bridge," said Suharso while inspecting the landing point for the construction of the Babin Bridge in Teluk Sasah Bintan, Friday (23/4/2021).

Suharso also added that on this occasion he was also coming to ensure the community that the Batam-Bintan Bridge will begin to build before 2024.

"God willing, this project has entered into a strategic national development project, so we ensure that this year it will start to build before 2023 or 2024," said Suharso.

According to Suharso, his party ensures the readiness of local governments, financing, CSR funds, or the private sector in their development plans.

"If all the planning, financing, land, and other preparations have been completed, I think they will immediately build it," said Suharso.

Meanwhile, the Governor of the Riau Islands Province Ansar Ahmad said that the Riau Islands Provincial government is optimistic that the construction of the Babin Bridge can be built soon.

"I am sure that the Minister's visit can further accelerate the construction of the Batam Bintan Bridge," hoped Ansar.

To Minister Suahrso, Ansar ensured that the preparations for the implementation of the Babin Bridge in the Riau Islands Province were continuously carried out and well prepared.

"We are currently continuing to plan, land acquisition, budget estimates, private investors, and other preparations so that the Batam-Bintan Bridge construction can be realized soon," explained Ansar.
