Batam - As many as 13 thousand doses of vaccine for Riau Islands arrived at the cargo warehouse of RHF Tanjungpinang Airport, Tuesday (5/1/2021). The vaccine is temporarily stored in the Riau Islands Provincial Health Office installation building.

Head of the Covid-19 Task Force Team Health and Head of the Batam City Health Service, Didi Kusmarjadi, said that for Batam temporary storage would be placed at the Class I Batam Environmental Health and Disease Control Engineering Center (BTKLPP).

"They (BTKLPP), who has a storage area that meets the standard of minus 70 degrees. From the beginning, it was planned to be stored there. So, just waiting for the vaccine to arrive in Batam," said Didi, Wednesday (6/1/2021).

Didi admitted that all processes had been completed, including the vaccinators. There are currently 5,131 medical workers, not including those at RSKI Batam. Meanwhile, the first stage recipient will receive information via short message.

"The first stage recipients have received direct message information from the center. Including me, they have received messages and several other medical personnel," he said.

He conveyed that 5,131 doses of the vaccine were given entirely to health workers (Nakes). The details are as follows: 423 people for specialist doctors, 718 general practitioners, 184 dentists, and 1,926 nurses.

Then there were 978 midwives, 167 pharmacists, 303 pharmaceutical techniques, 42 public health workers, 28 environmental health workers, 60 nutrition workers.

Then there are 102 medical technicians, 11 physical technicians, and 189 biomedical engineering workers.

As a health worker, Didi admitted that he was ready to get vaccines at this early stage.

"Of course it is ready, if it is according to the schedule, it is symbolically estimated that the vaccine will be given on January 14 or 15, 2021," he said.
