Batam - The face-to-face learning process in schools in the hinterland areas of Batam began on Monday (4/1/2021).

Head of Batam Education Office, Hendri Arulan, conveyed that this face-to-face learning process has been valid both from kindergarten to junior high school and others with the same level.

Hendri emphasized that the teaching and learning process must follow health protocols.

"Today it has been done well. All schools in the hinterland have opened. Only one school in Belakang Padang has not yet to open," said Hendri, when contacted on Monday (4/1/2021).

Schools are required to provide a place to wash their hands. Then it requires everyone to wear masks, be it teachers or students, and check their body temperature before entering the classroom.

"The school must also be able to access health services and have a medical history for teachers and students," he said.

The learning process can also be carried out thanks to the implementation of shifts, so that distance can be maximally carried out. The total number of schools that have met face to face is 102 schools.

"The number comes from three hinterland sub-districts, namely Belakang Padang, Bulang, and Galang," he said.

Meanwhile, for face-to-face school submissions in the mainland (urban areas), his party has not received submissions from the schools.

"As for the mainland, there have been no reports. So face-to-face learning is still specialized in the hinterland," he said.
