Tanjungpinang - 13 of officials from the Election Officers (KPPS) and Community Protection (Linmas) in Tanjungpinang who will be on duty in the General Election (Pilkada) procession were tested positive for Covid-19, Friday (4/12/2020).

A total of 13 KPPS and Linmas officers were exposed to Corona after a nose and throat swab test was carried out at Raja Ahmad Thabib Hospital (RAT), Tanjungpinang.

Head of the Tanjungpinang Health Office, Rustam said, based on data from the General Election Commission of Tanjungpinang, there were 131 election officers who underwent a swab test after the results of the reactive rapid test.

"Not all out yet, only partial results, some 13 have tested positive," he said.

He explained that the 13 KPPS officers who were tested positive for Corona were included in People Without Symptoms and are now undergoing independent quarantine.

With this positive case of Corona, his party will track people who are in close contact with these patients.

"We also urge the 49 Election Officers who are reactive to do a swab test," he said.

Previously, the General Election Commissions of Tanjungpinang conducted a rapid test on 4,136 Election Committee (PPS) of the Riau Islands Pilkada in Tanjungpinang.
