Drug Courier Succeeded 15 Times in Smuggling Meth from Malaysia to Batam

Tanjungpinang - A Malaysian network drug courier who was captured by the Navy in Bintan Waters region on Wednesday (07/15/2020) is a Batam resident.

The perpetrators "I" smuggled drugs 15 times through the waters of the Riau Islands.

"When weighed, methamphetamine (Meth) weighed 38.4 kilograms and 40 thousand pills of ecstasy pills," said Commander on Thursday (07/16/2020).

"He was paid 6000 Malaysian Ringgit per kilogram of methamphetamine," he explained.

He said evidence and perpetrators were immediately handed over to the Riau Islands Police for further investigation. "Later it will be submitted to the Riau Islands Regional Police, still under investigation," he said.

The Navy, in particular, the Koarmada I F1QR Team, said Heri strengthened surveillance and conducted more intense sea patrols.

"Just imagine that this month four arrests have been made, so we can strengthen the patrol," he said.
